The intense notes of chocolate mixed with almond reveal themselves in a melting and velvety texture. All this is nestled in a just-caramelized homemade puff pastry. Here, the intimate blend of chocolate with almonds of the Chocolate Almond King Cake is nestled in Maison pastry featuring extra-fine AOP Charentes-Poitou butter. Like sweet almond paste, the chocolate rush of the cream meets the fine, full-flavored raw almonds, half of which are not shelled. This moist filling is nestled in crunchy flaky pastry caramelized to a turn.
